For those of us whose vision isn't quite what it used to be, these numerals are twice as large as those on the standard display. Press the button to select between Speed, Time, Distance and Calories. You can set the display to Scan Mode where each function is displayed for 3 seconds before displaying the next. Automatically turns on when you pedal and turns off when not in use. In addition to the distance measurement that can be erased by resetting the display, there is an odometer function that does not get erased when you reset the display.
