Also known as the "Husk Tomato", "Ground Cherry", or "Tomate Verde" this plant is a member of the tomato family (nightshade). The green fruit are commonly used in Mexican cuisine, and are a necessity when making salsa verde.

Fruits range in size from 2-4 ounces and should be harvested when the husks split. You can grow it exactly like other tomato plants, but pollination is improved when 3 or more plants are next to one another. Zesty, tart flavor that can't be reproduced by other tomatoes.
