Deep Blue Health Green Lipped Mussel (GLM) is sourced from licensed marine farms in the South Island of New Zealand and is rich in Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), Omega 3 fatty acids and Marine Protein. Our GLMl is cold opened (cold extraction) and freeze-dried to preserve natural nutrients which provide support for joints.
Why the harvesting and processing methods matter?
Many of the nutrients in GLM are only present when the mussels are raw. As soon as you cook mussel flesh, its consistency changes; and the all-important lipids, fatty acids and GAGs break down. This means that GLM extract manufacturers must use a cold extraction process to create a therapeutic extract.
