This 1961 U.S. film is a rare rock and roll movie starring Jimmy Clanton ("Go Johnny Go!)
Following the death of his millionaire parents in a plane crash teenager Bobby Chalmers is placed in the care of his Aunt Theodora and bodyguard Rocky, (Rocky Graziano) an ex-fighter. Because the youngster is fond of music, his aunt allows him to pick out hit records for disc jockeys to play on a family-owned radio station. One day Bobby cuts a demonstration record of a song he has written and signs a phony name to it. Bambi, a girl who works in the record-file department and with whom Bobby is in love, hears the disc, likes it, and plays it at a community dance. Bambi forces Bobby to admit being the vocalist when the record is declared a smash hit.
