Marcus Roberts and Wynton Marsalis shared the stage for many years early in their careers and it was always a special experience. Roberts writes in the liner notes, "When I worked in Wynton's bands, we used to play 'Embraceable You' almost every night. They did it again live for this recording and captured a truly beautiful version. The CD ends with a foot-stomping version of 'When the Saints go Marching In'. This CD is a lot of fun.
