The 500cc Suzuki two-stroke, square four was a mainstay of World Championship motorcycle racing for a decade. For much of that time it was the only machine that offered a private rider the chance of entering Grand Prix competition. It is, of course, the machine indelibly linked with the late Barry Sheene, one of the most charismatic motorcycle racers of all time. He took the Suzuki to the World Championship and many Grand Prix wins. This file contains the story of the Suzuki square four in Grand Prix racing and an exclusive track test of the actual motorcycle that Barry Sheene rode to the world title in 1976.
