Offered exclusively by Stupid Girl. HEIRLOOM NON GMO. One of the easiest perennials to grow from Yarrow seeds, this Achillea Rubra is marked by a unique color of reddish pink cluster-like flowers. The color makes a beautiful addition to the summer sunny border and mixes beautifully with other colors. All Yarrow plants can be somewhat aggressive so be sure to plan ahead on where to place them. For centuries the Yarrow herb was important for soldiers on the battlefield. In ancient battles, Yarrow herb plants were used to stop the flow of blood in wounded soldiers and to help the wounds heal. Achillea Millefolium Yarrow should be planted in full sun and is tolerant to hot, humid summers. Ruby red Yarrow can tolerate poor soil conditions, and does best in lean, dry to medium wet, well-drained soil. Avoid heavy clays and moist, rich, fertile soils. Remove faded flowers to encourage more growth, and divide Yarrow plants every 3 - 4 years.
