Two light comedies by Aristophanes. In the Birds two Athenians enter the realm of the birds and help found the city of Cloud Cuckoo. In the Frogs the god Dionysus, who feels the theatrical entertainments at his great festivals no longer meet his expectations, heads to the underworld to find a good poet. The Greek text is accompanied by an interlinear Latin translation that is itself a very enjoyable read.
