The American made PVS-IS3 three inch PVC vent screen offers maximum protection for high efficiency furnace, boiler and hot water heater ventilation systems. While most plastic solutions only guard against animals, the PVS-IS3 maintains a comparable airflow while also guarding against bees, wasps and other bugs that may find their way into your home. The PVS-IS3 is designed for new installations and also to replace inefficient plastic PVC caps or guards. The PVS-IS3 maintains a 70% rate of airflow by utilizing a high quality 18x18 316 stainless steel mesh screen that is enclosed in a durable 6061-T6 aluminum shell. Included with each PVC vent screen purchase is a 304 stainless steel internal wire clip to securely hold the vent screen in place inside a 3" PVC pipe hub or coupling. All materials are anti-corrosive and will not become brittle as plastic caps, guards and covers so often do. With an outside diameter of 3.465", the PVS-IS3 is designed for installation in standard 3" PVC hubs and couplings for use while temperatures are above freezing and insects are active. Our PVS-RS3 is designed for use during winter and provides the greatest compatibility among high efficiency appliances by offering superior airflow when insects are not active.
