With a remote, this IR Repeater allows you to place your AV Receiver, Cable Box, DVR or other devices in a cabinet or in another room and still be able to control them from in front of your TV. Simply place the IR receiver where you wish to aim your remote control (usually the TV), run the IR receiver wire from your TV to the distribution box. Then run the IR emitters to the devices you wish to control and place an emitter over the IR receiver window in each device, plug the 12v DC plug into a wall outlet and your all set! . Just attach the USB Cable from the distribution unit to any working USB connector on any of your devices. The dual band IR Receiver can receive commands from 38 kHz to 56 kHz. The kit includes: • 1 Distribution Unit • 1 IR Receiver • 1 12v DC power plug • 4 Dual IR Emitters to control up to 8 devices (you can add 2 more dual IR emitters to control 12 devices) • 1 User Manual Specifications: • The IR receiver cord is 5' long and can be extended with a 3.5mm AV extension cable by up to 50 feet or more • The distribution unit measures approximately 2.25"x 4.5"x 1" and has slots for mounting, if desired (mounting screws NOT included) • The distribution unit can also be powered by a USB cable instead of the 12v adapter. NOTE: Do not use both the 12v adapter and the USB cable to power the unit at the same time • The kit contains 4 Dual IR emitters to control up to 8 devices and has connections for 2 more dual IR emitters. Plasma TV's emit IR frequencies that can interfere with the IR receiver of this device (Not applicable to LCD or LED TV's). This can be fixed by placing the IR receiver further away from the TV.
