This is the standard old fashioned varienty commonly grown in cottage gardens Royal Sweet Pea has a large frilly petal bloom that has a sweet fragrance. There is nothing that compares to a vase filled with Royal sweet peas. We like to plant them near our sitting areas in the yard. Lovely scent and a real conversation starter. Friends are so honored to take some home to display in their flower arrangements. We always assist sweet peas with elevating the plant. A trellis, a fence, or a tomato cage, be creative. Sweet peas are truly an old-fashioned flower. They have been cultivated since the 1800's. This large-flowered mix produces long-stemmed, fragrant flower clusters in a full range of bright colors. They are great for cutting, and are great decorations on cakes. These flowers attract birds, bees and butterflies. They prefer well drained, fertile soil.
