The cable consists of 4 individual wires. The strands inside are thicker and more sufficient and durable than some cheaply-made wires on the market. Each of the 4 individual wires consists of pure copper threads inside, more than sufficient for the LEDs they'd be expending.
If you are not using RGB, you can split the wires in sets of 2s and basically double the lengths.
