Miriam Jotter’s younger brother, Jacob, is one mischievous boy. When little Jacob puts himself in a danger on a runaway horse within Miriam’s sight, a handsome Amish man, Roy Schrock, appears to rescue him.

Sensing the spark between Miriam and Roy, little Jacob prods Miriam to go to Roy’s house with him. Finally giving in, Miriam brings a cookie jar as a token of gratitude for saving her younger brother. But as they get closer to Roy’s house, Miriam spots a beautiful Englisch girl with Roy.
