This naturally made sand is perfect for Succulent, Bonsai Soil & Carnivorous Plant Mixes. Sand's pH Level is neutral and safe for potting. When used for carnivorous plants create a 50:50 mix with peat. Certain epiphytes, such as bromeliads, can be potted when using materials like coarse silica sand for proper drainage to deter root rot. This material has a great look and can be used for decorative purposes as well. *We do not recommend this product to be used with fish. Very similar looking products have been sold for use in fish tanks; however, the information we have from where this product originates has stated that the sharp edges make it unsafe for fish that swim over it or eat it.
