The Seedz Red Russian Kale Seeds are hardy biennials that develop into bright purple stems with slate green, deeply-lobed foliage. Leaves are tender, smooth, and very sweet compared to other kales. This is an incredibly cold-tolerant variety that in proves in flavor with cold weather.

WHEN TO PLANT

For best results, direct-sow after last hard frost or start transplants at 70-90°F 4-6 weeks before planting date.

GROW PATTERNS AND TIMING

Sow ¼ - ½" deep, 60 seeds per foot with about 18-30" between rows. Red Russian Kale seeds can be expected to germinate within 5-10 days. Plan 30 days to baby leaf, 55 days to full maturity.
