Product Review
The largest, sweetest ever bearing raspberry available. Anne ripens in August, at about the same time as Caroline or Heritage. Anne has a distinct flavor.... is super sweet and almost tropical flavored. Anne is the best flavored gold/yellow variety. Berries are larger, sweeter and firmer than Fall Gold. Grows in USDA zones 4-9. Not suited for growing in the desert southwest. Great for fresh eating, pies, jams, freezing, wine/juice and specialty desserts. Great Freezing Quality, Highly Productive and a Popular Choice for Fresh Market & Backyard Gardens. Anne Fall Ever Bearing Raspberry canes will produce berries this year. Will produce fruit in the Fall...and in the Spring and Fall of following years, depending on how plants are managed. Planting raspberries from rootstock is the easiest and most economical way to establish your own raspberry patch. 8 ounces will plant a row 20 foot in length. You are buying rootstock. Rootstock produces more canes than bare root raspberry canes at less than half of the cost. This is the preferred method for raspberry farmers because of the lower cost and the ease of planting. You can expect 24-36 new canes to grow quickly from 8 oz. of rootstock the first year. All it takes is a little patience and remembering to water regularly. And since your rootstock is inspected to be free of diseases and viruses, your raspberry patch should last over 15 years with proper care. If your soil is too wet or cold to till, you can get a head start on the season...the raspberry roots can be planted in containers 1/2-1 inch deep to root out before they are planted in their permanent location. Place the containers in a sunny warm location. Usually in about 3 months after you planted the containers, they are ready to plant in the permanent garden area. Detailed planting/pruning instructions will come with rootstock.
