Comparing with infra-red, radar sensor is more sensitive, responsive and reliable. The light turns itself right on when you need it.
Comparing with infra-red, radar sensor works great in hot weather because it's based on motion detection instead of temperature like infra-red does.

Is radar sensor perfect?

Radar detection may go through windows/doors/walls, sometimes it's over sensitive so you better make sure it's big enough where you install it.
