We proudly hand craft each shelter in our tiny woodworking shop in the Upper Midwest. Some lower priced, imported bat shelters on the market are often constructed with a thin cut lumber known as chinese cedar. We use thick (~3/4-7/8 inch) quality grade cedar. Your Western Red Cedar shelter is naturally resistant to insect damage and decay, ensuring years of use in harsh outdoor environments. Narrow interior dimensions provide a cozy environment conducive to heat retention. Each bat house arrives at your door ready to install, there are pre-drilled mounting holes in the lower section, and a steel hanger installed on the back. We include 3- 2 ½ inch exterior grade deck screws and instructions for mounting on your house, a tree, or a free-standing pole.
