Bat ecologists and conservationists recommend that bat shelters installed in most areas of the U.S. be painted or stained a dark color. Save yourself the time and trouble, choose a pre-finished bat shelter! Each bat house arrives at your door ready to install, there are pre-drilled mounting holes in the lower section, and a steel hanger installed on the back. We include 3- 2 ½ inch exterior grade deck screws and instructions for mounting on your house, a tree, or a free-standing pole.
