How are the oils extracted/processed?

Our Lemon and Sweet Orange organic essential oils are cold-pressed from the outer layer of fresh citrus peel. The Lavender, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus and Peppermint oils are steam-distilled from the leaves and stems of their respective plants. That means, the pure essential oils are extracted without hexanes or harsh chemicals.

Can I use them in skin care blends?

Yes! When using our essential oils set for skin care blends, make sure to dilute the essential oils according to the instructions on the bottle (note: our Organic Fractionated Coconut Oil makes a great carrier oil for essential oils, along with our Jojoba, Sweet Almond, Argan and more). Since natural essential oils are highly concentrated, they should be used with care (that means, doing a patch test first is a good idea, too.)
