The battery is not put in the leak alert originally and you need to install yourself. Please test after inserting battery.
The water leak alert blares constantly if you don't dry the probe. Please get it up and dry the probe if you don't want it keep alarming, no need to remove the battery.
It is a rotary probe back of the alarm sensor, you can screw up and down to adjust water level of alerting.
