How to Use Mazaeus Saffron

Portion your saffron threads based on what your recipe calls for; this can be as few as 5-8 saffron threads for a cup of tea, to 20-30 saffron threads for a paella or to garnish basmati rice.

For maximum color, aroma, and flavor, steep your saffron threads for 30 minutes in a proportionate amount of liquid; you can use warm water, milk, cream, stock or broth depending on what you are using the saffron for.

Strain the saffron threads from the steeped liquid and apply to your culinary creation as called for in your recipe; in some cases, you can use the strained saffron threads as a decorative garnish.
