A plug spawn is a small wooden cylinder infused with mushroom mycelium spores. Choose a hardwood log or stump and drill evenly spaced holes. Tamp in the plug and seal with wax. The mycelium spores will propigate through the wood. May take up to 3 years for first mushrooms to grow.
