20 Watermelon Radish Seed Balls

Watermelon Radish is an absolutely brilliant vegetable for introducing kids to gardening. It's colorful, fast, crispy, and mild. It is frequently used for carving red and pink tinted radish roses.

It is an heirloom variety of the traditional Asian Daikon radish. It grows quickly and has a light crisp texture. Much milder than the little red radishes that many American markets carry.

Like all our seed balls, these contain only non-GMO seeds.

Sowing Seed-Balls
Gently press seed balls halfway into the surface of bare soil. Keep moist until seedlings have at least 4 leaves, then water when the soil is dry before the plant wilts. Seed balls can take a little longer than bare seeds to germinate. Warm damp but not wet conditions help speed germination along.
