Hunter Taylor was enjoying his seventeenth summer when the Henderson’s moved in two doors down the street. In a small southern town, a new neighbor was a big happening. Hunter and his best friend, Jon, kept walking by the house until they met the Henderson’s—Jane and her divorced mother, Jasmine. Hunter immediately noticed how young her mother was. Jon was taken with Jane and they started seeing each other every chance they got, but under the watchful eye of her mother. Jon and Jane dated for six months until he found out she was a virgin and intended to stay that way. By the time they broke up, Hunter was obsessed with having Jasmine. Hunter and Jane had classes together and studied together, giving him plenty of opportunity to be around Jasmine. Over the next two years, he and Jasmine flirted and occasionally went past flirtation. Then on Thanksgiving of Hunter’s senior year when Jane was with her father, Hunter’s mother invited Jasmine to have Thanksgiving with them. By the time dinner ended, it was dark, and his mother asked Hunter to walk Mrs. Henderson home…
