ABOUT YOUR NEW ORGANIC CARROT SEEDS

The Seedz Scarlet Nantes Carrot is a hardy biennial that can tolerate light frosts. A classic variety with fine-grained texture and old-fashioned carroty flavor, expect to see 6-8" roots with bright orange color and a cylindrical, blunt-tipped shape that can store long into winter. Best quality arises from raised beds with loosened soils.

WHEN TO PLANT

For best results, direct-seed as soon as soil can be worked in the spring through mid-summer.

GROW PATTERNS AND TIMING

Sow 20 seeds per foot with 18" between rows. Scarlet Nantes Carrot seeds can be expected to germinate within 7-20 days. Optimal soil temperature for germination is 65-75°F. Plan about 65 days to full maturity.
