Our Surrey Arugula is a fast-growing, deeply lobed variety with a rich, somewhat spicy flavor. This variety features an attractive leaf shape in addition to its quick, dependable growth rate with an upright habit that helps to reduce disease pressure.

WHEN TO PLANT

For best results, direct-sow from early spring onward in moist soil.

GROW PATTERNS AND TIMING

Surrey Arugula can be harvested as baby arugula or grown as a full-size crop. For baby leaf, sow approximately 60 seeds per foot in 2-4" bands, about 1/4-inch deep. For a full-sized crop, sow with a seed spacing of about 10 seeds per foot and a row spacing of 18 inches.

Your arugula should take between 5 and 10 days to germinate. Baby greens should be ready to cut within 21 days; full-sized crops should mature within 40 days.
