ABOUT YOUR NEW ORGANIC ONION SEEDS

Our versatile Red Barons produce an onion with deep red skin, royal purple inner rings, and good color throughout. For scallions, harvest at 12-15" tall just before the bulb begins to swell, or harvest bulbs for fresh bunches. Performs well planted in clumps of 4-5; succession planting is recommended.

WHEN TO PLANT

For best results, direct-sow in mid-spring or start transplants at 75-85°F 10-12 weeks before planting out.

GROW PATTERNS AND TIMING

Plant your Red Baron Onion seeds about 1/4-inch deep with approximately 20 seeds per foot with 18-30" between rows. Your onion seeds should take between 7 and 14 days to germinate and will reach full maturity within 115 days.
