Product Review
- Catnip is beloved by cats of all sizes, from your domestic cat to lions and tigers
- Can also be used in tea
- Catnip seeds are protected by a hard outer coating and can be difficult to grow. To aid germination, either scarify your seeds by lightly scraping them to slightly damage their coating, or cold stratify your seeds by mixing them with moist sand and placing them in the freezer. Recommendations range from overnight to two 30 day periods of freezing. Cold stratification can also be achieved via fall planting.
- Plants can grow up to 3-4' tall and should be spaced 16" apart.
- Plant 1/4" deep in full sun and well-drained soil after threat of frost has passed. Maintain moist soil until seedling is established. Cats will sometimes crush young plants, so they may require protection.
