Spawn / Myco Bags are used for mushroom cultivation. These bags are made of durable 2.2 mil polypropylene. They measure 8 x 5 x 19 inches, have a 1.5 x 1.5 inch 5.0 micron filter which allows for the passage of air but not unwanted contaminates. They can be used in a pressure cooker, steam sterilizer or autoclave. Mycobags can be used for spawn production to inoculate bulk substrates like straw or compost. The breathable technology behind the mycobags provides gas exchange, but excludes water vapor, so your spawn does not dehydrate and you can fruit your substrate right inside the bag itself. These side-gusseted bags give a sturdy stand-up bag after filling and a strong bottom seal. They are reusable, can be sealed with an impulse sealer, taped or tied shut at the ends.
