Cymbidium Kaylie 'Momo' is one of the finest Cymbidium hybrids you'll find anywhere. (This hybrid could easily have been called Belle of the Ball, or Blushing Bride, or Pretty in Pink -- all of those names would work perfectly!) The pink color of its shapely, full flower is breathtaking - it is the type of flower that immediately catches your attention, even in a room full of beautiful blooms. The deep red lip of the flower derives from one of its parents, Cymbidium Yai, a highly desirable stud plant used as a parent in many hybrids. Cym. Kaylie 'Momo' grows vigorously in warm and cool conditions, and flowers on a younger plant. Even better, it can produce TWO flower spikes per bulb, with easily a dozen long-lasting flowers per spike. This orchid is not a common one you can find at a big box store! It would make an excellent gift for the orchid beginner or long-time collector. Growing this Cymbidium is easy: use chunky orchid bark for the media, water around twice per week, avoid direct sun (bright shady conditions work well), and fertilize with one-quarter strength balanced plant fertilizer every other week.
